  • 2 medium ripe avocados peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup sour cream can substitute with Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro chopped, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine the ripe avocados, sour cream, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lime juice to taste.
  4. If using, stir in the chopped cilantro.
  5. Transfer the avocado cream sauce to a serving bowl and enjoy.

This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the sauce before sealing.
