Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together all the dry rub ingredients.
  3. Rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, covering them evenly.
  4. Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  2. Remove the ribs from the oven and preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Unwrap the ribs and brush them generously with BBQ sauce.
  4. Grill the ribs for about 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally and adding more sauce, until caramelized.
Serving
  1. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, marinate the ribs with the dry rub overnight.
