Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup Milk
Add-ins
  • 1 cup Fresh blueberries washed and drained

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugar, melted butter, egg, lemon juice, lemon zest, and milk until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use fresh blueberries. You can also add a lemon glaze on top for extra sweetness.
