Boiling the Corn
- Fill a large pot with 4 quarts of water and add salt if desired. Bring to a rolling boil.
- Add the husked corn to the boiling water. Cover the pot and return to a boil.
- Once boiling again, reduce the heat to medium and cook for 8-10 minutes until the corn is tender.
- Using tongs, carefully remove the corn from the pot and place it in a colander to drain.
- Serve hot, with butter and seasoning if desired.
