Ingredients
  

Corn
  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob Husked and cleaned
Water
  • 4 quarts water For boiling
Salt
  • 1 tablespoon salt Optional, for flavor

Method
 

Boiling the Corn
  1. Fill a large pot with 4 quarts of water and add salt if desired. Bring to a rolling boil.
  2. Add the husked corn to the boiling water. Cover the pot and return to a boil.
  3. Once boiling again, reduce the heat to medium and cook for 8-10 minutes until the corn is tender.
  4. Using tongs, carefully remove the corn from the pot and place it in a colander to drain.
  5. Serve hot, with butter and seasoning if desired.
