Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti
Sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta in a colander.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a skillet, melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with the remaining butter, parsley, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
