Ingredients
  

Rice
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice rinsed
  • 2 cups water
Flavorings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste

Method
 

Cook the Rice
  1. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender and water is absorbed.
Flavor the Rice
  1. Remove the pot from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
  2. Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in olive oil, lime juice, chopped cilantro, and salt.
  3. Serve warm as a side dish.
