Ingredients
  

For the Trout
  • 4 fillets rainbow trout skin on
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon sliced for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
For the Marinade
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a bowl, combine lemon juice, minced garlic, and dried thyme. Mix well.
Marinate the Trout
  1. Place the trout fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
Preheat the Grill
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Grill the Trout
  1. Brush the grill grates with olive oil. Place the marinated trout fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  2. Carefully flip the trout using a fish spatula and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serve
  1. Remove the trout from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with lemon slices and chopped parsley.
