Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
Cheese and Cream
  • 2 cups Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
Flavoring
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
Toppings
  • 2 tbsp butter (for greasing)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. In a bowl, mix heavy cream with minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer potato slices in the baking dish, pouring cream mixture over each layer followed by a sprinkle of Gruyere cheese.
  4. Repeat until all ingredients are used. Top with panko breadcrumbs and additional Gruyere cheese.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
