Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or your preferred pasta
Sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large lemons zested and juiced
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta in a colander.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the lemon juice and zest, then add the cooked pasta to the skillet.
  3. Toss the pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
  4. Mix in the grated parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan and parsley if desired.
