Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups sliced peaches fresh or canned, drained
  • 1 cup sugar adjust based on sweetness of peaches
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional, for brightness
Topping
  • 1 box yellow cake mix dry mix only
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional, for added crunch

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir until well mixed.
Assemble the Cake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches.
  3. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring even coverage. Sprinkle nuts on top if using.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
