Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, and herbs until combined.
  2. Place the steak in a resealable bag and pour in the marinade. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
  3. Heat your grill to medium-high (450°F/232°C) for optimal sear marks.
  4. Remove from marinade and let rest for 15 minutes at room temperature. Generously season both sides with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill steak for about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare (internal temp of 130°F/54°C). Adjust cooking time as needed.
  6. Let the steak rest for five minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
