Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 1 cup pineapple, diced fresh
  • 1 cup mango, diced fresh
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped fresh
  • 1 medium jalapeño, seeded and minced optional for heat
  • 1 medium lime, juiced
Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the ingredients
  1. Dice the pineapple and mango into small pieces.
  2. Finely chop the red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using).
Mix the salsa
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple, mango, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño.
  2. Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
Serve
  1. Let the salsa sit for 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.
  2. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled chicken or fish.
