Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20) Formed into 4 balls
Burger Toppings
  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese Optional
  • 4 buns Burger Buns Toasted
  • 1 cup Lettuce Shredded
  • 1 medium Tomato Sliced
  • 1/2 cup Pickles Sliced
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup To taste
  • 1/4 cup Mustard To taste

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently form into balls. Do not overwork the meat.
Cook the Burgers
  1. Preheat the griddle or skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Place the beef balls on the hot surface and immediately smash them down with a spatula to form thin patties.
  3. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip and add cheese if desired. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the burger buns on the griddle until golden brown.
  2. Layer the bottom bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and the cooked burger patty. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then top with the other half of the bun.
