Marinade Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, soy sauce, ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.
  3. Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it.
  4. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for best results.

Notes
